Welcome to Robins!
We have all enjoyed our first half term in Reception. We have made lots of new friends and are really enjoying the challenging learning set by our teachers.
Autumn 1 is all about settling into classroom routines, learning boundaries and expectation. The children learn how to access the classroom and resources independently. We are very proud of how the children have settled into their new class.
In the Autumn term we focus on strengthening children’s muscles for writing. To support this, we access weekly movement play sessions in the hall. This is a very popular activity with all children.
During Harvest time we read the book Pumpkin Soup by Helen Cooper. The children have amazed us by how much they have remembered and retold the story in such detail. Together made a delicious batch of pumpkin soup which all the children thoroughly enjoying making and tasting.
